		<description>&lt;p&gt;melo: &lt;code&gt;Markdown.pl&lt;/code&gt; (the original) is an XHTML output script, but it outputs fragments rather than complete (verifiable) HTML documents. I don't want the other formats of MultiMarkdown, but more importantly it seems not hugely better for my purpose (as an Apache handler/CGI) than the original &lt;code&gt;Markdown.pl&lt;/code&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
